Smoking-area rules by city and county
The Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act applies everywhere in Taiwan; each city or county can designate extra no-smoking places. Cities with official data are noted.

Everywhere in Taiwan
- For fines, fully smoke-free places and how designated areas work, see Taiwan smoking law in plain language.
- Local health bureaus can designate extra no-smoking places based on ventilation, crowds and how long people stay (for example some sidewalks, areas near schools, night markets and arcades). Lists differ by area — on-site signs and the local health bureau's notices apply.
- Our locations are for reference only. If a sign on site says no smoking, it applies even if the map shows a spot.
